During Computex 2015, Dell presented its gaming version of the Inspiron 15 7000 Series , which used Nvidia graphics, i7 processors and high resolution screens. Dell is planning on making the laptop available in all countries including America. The shipping date or starting price have not been announced, but hopefully they can be an affordable alternative to Alienware Gaming Laptops.

Though the gaming-inspired Inspiron 15 will be a new product, Dell has been selling 14-inch Inspiron gaming systems in China for a while now. The company plans to make the 15-inch available all over the world, including in the U.S. However, when it does come to America, it will probably carry a different name than Inspiron 15 7000. Dell reps told us that the 14-inch notebooks have a different name in China as well.

Razer’s Glowing Mousepad.

Razer’s Glowing Mousepad.

Recently Razer released a new gaming peripheral called Firefly. This new gaming mouse pad is a very flashy alternative to the generic mouse pad with pictures of kittens. The Firefly matches perfectly with all the fancy glowing keyboards and headsets that gamers use everyday. It is also a high quality mouse pad which is designed for hardcore gaming.

The Razer Firefly has 6-bit RGB customisations to allow for 16.8-million colour options. Tweaking is similar to many of Razer’s other Chroma RGB peripherals in that all the hard work is done in the Razer Synapse software. For hardcore Razer fans the company allows for lighting effects to be synced across multiple devices so users with a Chroma RGB headset, keyboard and mouse can enjoy a synchronised light show. The Firefly features an LED lighting strip around the entire perimeter of the surface which is USB-powered and controlled.

Possible Lenovo purchase of MSI laptops.

Possible Lenovo purchase of MSI laptops.

Recently there have been rumors arising that Lenovo is looking to purchase the manufacturer of MSI’s gaming notebook division.  This could be due to Lenovos wanting to improve their gaming notebook market. Knowing, Lenovo offers really affordable prices on their laptops this could be great!

A purchase could make sense from Lenovo’s perspective. The company has made several attempts to gain traction in the gaming notebook market, such as the Y50 gaming notebook and the Erazer gaming desktop. These products haven’t been top-sellers, though, and haven’t scored well in reviews. Putting a PC gaming division together from scratch is hard work.
